Two-Headed Giant Archive
Welcome to our Two-headed giant Tournament!
as you can see our friendly giant are ready for battle again with secrets of strixhaven out we have a bunch of new tools ready to be used.
This event is a casual event where we aim to have fun and to not bring the most competative decks. Bracket 3 is recomended, this to get as balanced games as possible and no Bracket 5 (CEDH) since its for fun.
Expect to see a bunch of removals from your opponents, even if its for fun it’s still a tournament and uneven matchups will happen. No hard feelings.
Each team will give us a team name that each pairing will show on the tv and also in printed form on the wall.
We will play a maximum of 3 rounds of swiss.
Each round will be 120 minutes.
Each round is Best of 3.
The tournament start at 12:30
Each player gonna have to register to the event and then we have a separate event where we sign up each team manually.
What Is Two-Headed Giant Commander Night?
Two-Headed Giant Commander Night is a new Commander event in which players can earn promo cards by pairing up to battle other two-player teams. Each player has their own 100-card Commander deck, but they share a 60-point life pool. Play follows the normal Two-Headed Giant rules.
This event is a great way for new players to start exploring in-store play and for experienced players to introduce their friends to Magic. Each participant should receive one of the Commander promos, plus any other event prizes your store would like to include.
Commander:
– 99 card deck + a Commander card.
– There is no unified construction, though each player’s deck should be a legal Commander
deck by itself.
– Each team starts with 60 life.
Starting the game
– Mulligan decisions alternate between teams as normal with each player on a team deciding
whether to mulligan simultaneously.
This means players can’t see what their teammate
draws from a mulligan before choosing whether to mulligan themselves.
– Neither player on the team going first draws a card on the first turn.
– Each player receives one free mulligan.
You don’t put any cards back on the first mulligan, and you put only 1 card back on the
second mulligan, etc.
– A team loses when they take 21 or more combat damage from a single commander
OR have 15 or more poison counters.
