What is GothCon?
GothCon is Sweden’s oldest gaming convention that focuses entirely on analog games. If you are at all interested in role-playing games, board games, figure games, card games and everything else related, this is something you absolutely cannot miss!
GothCon is hosted every easter in Gothenburg. This year GothCon is between April 2 to April 5 (Thursday to Sunday) and Mindstage will be there hosting tournaments all weekend long!

Mindstage will be hosting several tournaments in Magic the Gathering! To play in our events you don’t need to purchase tickets to GothCon. Instead you can pay a small extra fee per event you play. This part of the tournament entry fee goes directly to GothCon to sponsor them and enables you to participate without a buying a ticket to the convention itself!
But if you want to do other things than play in Mindstages tournaments, or give GothCon some extra support you can buy tickets to GothCon here!

This format, while being much like individual Sealed, challenges teams of three players to build three decks out of twelve boosters, one deck for each teammate.
These games are then played 1v1 and when a team has two players win their individual matches, the whole team wins the match.

World Championship of Highlander Gold

Do you want to be called a World Champion? This is honestly one of your best shots! We are usually around 8-10 people competing for this title.
But what is Highlander Gold? The rules are simple. You can only play cards with the golden frame. (Multicolor) Plus lands of course! A deck is at least 60 cards (plus a maximum of 15 cards sideboard) and you can only play 1 copy of each card. All sets legal in Vintage are legal in Highlander Gold. This is a one-on-one format with regular Magic rules. Best of three, 20 lives, etc. Get brewing already! The winner brings home the smallest trophy ever.

Do I need to buy a ticket to the convention just to play a Mindstage event?
No. You can instead just pay a small extra fee in each tournament you want to participate in.
Where can I submit my deck lists?
You can find the link to the deck registration site if you expand the tournament information in the schedule above. Paper deck lists are not allowed but can be accepted in special cases (and for the Premodern Easter Championships). If your tournament is not in the list then it doesn’t require a deck list.
What tournament app will be used?
Magic players will be using the app MTG companion. You will need a wizards account. (It’s the same account as on MTG Arena if you use that)
Do I have to pre-register for an event?
No. In fact, you can’t. Just show up before the registration closes and you can pay and register on the spot!
Will Mindstage be there to sell cards?
Yes. The store will be there to sell Singles, products and accessories! We also buy and trade cards.
Do you buy cards?
Certainly. We buy, trade and sell cards. Just drop by and we will do our best to make you a fair deal!
Will there be MTG commander play?
Yes! There will be a dedicated commander area for casual play with meetups every hour!
