What is LinCon?
LinCon is a yearly convention with focus on analog games. It’s hosted in the University of Linköping. There you can play games, browse different nerd stores and much more!
From May 13 to May 17 Mindstage will be there hosting a ton of tournaments in Magic the Gathering.
Together with Svenskamagic we are running the Swedish championships in Modern, the store champhionships and three RCQ:s to name just a few of the heavy hitters! Check out the full schedule below!
NOTE:
– To play in any of our Magic events during LinCon you need to buy a ticket to the convention itself. There is a discounted combo-pack with the LinCon Ticket + Modern Nationals that you will find among the ordinary LinCons tickets.
– If you are in a Store Team then you are already good to go. No need to buy any entry fee to neither Nationals nor LinCon!

This tournament is only open to the stores that have already paid to participate in the Store Championship. We play 4 rounds of swiss, store team vs store team. Each team collect points that will be added with the players individual points in the Swedish Modern Nationals on saturday. The top 4 teams play on sunday to determine the winning store!

After an intense day of Magic with a swiss and top 8 we will crown the Swedish Champion of Modern 2025!
The title comes with a shiny Trophy. In addition to this we have a guaranteed prize pool of at least 21.000SEK in the form of Mindstage store credit! Prizes are awarded to the top 16 players.

The top 4 performing store teams will compete in this play-off. It’s single elimination. The store team that takes it down will be crowned the Store Champions 2026! This comes with trophies and store credit prizes!

Do I need to buy a ticket to the convention just to play Magic?
Yes. But if you only want to play Magic there is a discounted Magic combo-ticket for 575kr that includes the entry into Swedish Modern Nationals. Tickets can be purchased at LinCons own page or at site.

What tournament app will be used?
We will be using the app MTG companion for all our events. You will need a wizards account. (It’s the same account as on MTG Arena if you use that)
Do I have to register for the event in MTG Companion?
Not if you prepay! If you purchase the ticket on our website (only available for the main events) make sure to either use your wizard account email or put it in as a note to your order!
Can I buy a ticket for someone else?
Yes – as long as the correct Wizards account information is included as a comment in the order checkout they will be added to the tournament.
Will Mindstage be there to sell cards?
Yes. The store will be there to sell Singles, products and accessories! We also buy and trade cards.
Do you buy cards?
Certainly. We buy, trade and sell cards. Just drop by and we will do our best to make you a fair deal!
